Dog Haus was founded in 2024, built on a passion for dogs and a commitment to providing a safe, structured environment for them to grow and thrive. Long before starting this company, dog walking and overnight care were things we loved to do in our free time while working full-time jobs. What began as something we enjoyed quickly grew into a true passion.
Training and education have always been at the center of what we do. We take the time to understand the personality of every dog in our care, showing patience and dedication to help them become more confident and balanced. Every dog we work with learns the basics of walking properly on a leash and understanding how to be calmly within a pack and with their leader.
Despite our profound love for dogs and all the knowledge we'd gained from years with them, nothing could have prepared us for the unexpected challenge we faced with our own dog at home. In 2017, we adopted a dog named Stella. She was happy and playful when we met her, but once she came home, everything changed. We thought we already knew everything there was to know about dogs, but Stella quickly humbled us. She became anxious around other people and dogs outside of our family.
Handling an extremely anxious dog turned out to be far more challenging than we ever anticipated. We believed we had the tools, but the journey pushed us to learn more about dogs than we ever had before. We researched tirelessly, studied every resource available, and tested every approach we could find — everything except the veterinarian’s repeated recommendation to put Stella on anxiety medication. We were determined to truly understand her, to help her feel safe, and to build the confidence she deserved.
Through patience, unwavering consistency, and a lot of trial and error, Stella slowly transformed. She became the calm, comfortable dog she was always meant to be. Today, she is one of the most loving and incredible companions we’ve ever known. She was never broken — she was simply misunderstood. We will forever stay in the pet care business in honor of Stella because she drove us to take risks in something we love to do.
Dog Haus took years to build because we deeply understand how hard it is for dog owners to trust someone with their beloved pet. Over the years, we traveled to distant corners of the world, immersing ourselves in different culture's approach to dog training. We embraced each method, thoughtfully weaving them all together in or own personal way. We’re committed to making sure your dog feels completely safe, comfortable, and at ease with us from the very first day. Every ounce of our time, attention, and care revolves around the dogs and their individual needs.
